Taking a procrastinating breathe between “Drafting” blog topics, I have decided to play with words. In honor of the event I am attending this week, (Science Book Talks in Harvard square, Daniel L. Everett on his book, How Language Began: The Story of Humanity's Greatest Invention, http://www.harvard.com/events/science/) here’s a poem.

Blessed be that boy who’ll stay,

Though knows he’ll, for the staying, pay.

All lovers cleft by God’s willing play

Toil back again ‘till judgement-day.

Woe’s constant grip on lovers lay

For that heresy unkept at bay.

God left us all, renouncing pay

Those believers, left, unseemly gave.

Unhelpful Hope cast against dismay.

Those halves, desperately sought, our daemons slay.

Strike down God’s fierce, unwholesome way!

Oh! Bless that boy who’ll, knowing, stay!

Inspired by my favorite books and author, His Dark Materials, by Philip Pullman

Thanks for reading and may nerd-dom abound!
